Needle Turned Applique



Hand applique
A technique class on traditional needle-turn applique. Using the tip of your needle to turn under the raw edge of the applique and slip stitch the applique to a background fabric. If you have slip stitched (invisible stitch) the binding on a quilt, you already know the stitch!
The applique used will be Oriole Pride, written and drawn by Andrea Staschak 
May 21st from 9-12

Class fee includes pattern and fabrics for Oriole and Black Eyed Susan.

Requirements: Supplies Background fabric, 1 fat quarter. Thread- black, white, yellow, orange, brown Sharps - long thin needles. Select a size comfortable for your hands, Small sharp scissors for fabric, Paper scissors, Short applique pins, Water soluble fabric marking pen, Pencil for tracing
