Fat Quarters Log Cabin at the Lancaster Quilt Show, Double Tree Willow Valley Resort
March 26th from 9-12 at the Lancaster Quilt Show
Unlike Scrappy Log Cabin Quilts the Fat Quarter Log Cabin requires only 5 fabrics. Using Fat Quarters (which we all seem to collect) and combing layout and sewing techniques, from the 1800’s, with Rulers and cutting techniques from the 21st century you will be able to make fabulous Log Cabin blocks, cutting 4 blocks at a time in a matter of minutes! Use 1 set of Fat Quarters to make a wallhanging, table runner or pillow tops, use 4 sets to make a Log Cabin Star or Twin size. Nine Sets will make a Queen/Double or 16 sets to make a King. Once you’ve mastered the cutting and sewing, I believe you will find, you can easily make four blocks in as little as 1 1/2 - 2 hours.
Join me in learning how to make this ageless block and learn tips on grainlines, pressing and sewing techniques that will improve all of your quilting skills. In class we will cut and make 4 blocks.
This class will be held at the Lancaster Quilt Show, Double Tree Willow Valley Resort, Lancaster,PA. You must register through the show.
