I hope that this is the end of our "rough couple months".  I would like to say thanks to everyone who has checked up on us for our "drive thru" (repairs are almost complete) and to all who have offered condolences over the passing of Cheryl.  It means so much that our quilting family checks up on all of us here at Hoppin Bobbin.  You guys are absolutely the best! Thanks for all of your support, we couldn't make it through with out you. As, always, there are many fun new things coming up, and we are excited about new fabrics, new classes and new faces!

Convex Illusions (2 session class) with Sue Walters Sat, May 13, 2017 at 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Sat, May 27, 2017 at 9:00 am to 2:45 pm Put your skills to a test, this quilt is a little Bargello and a little trip around the world, combined into one! Darks and lights, and gradations. Sounds a lot harder than it really is, this is for the quilter looking for a challenge. Very Confident Beginner to advanced quilters will love the complexity of this dynamic looking quilt. Made from 8 gradated fat quarters and a very dark and very light fabric, this quilt is fun to make and will look beautiful wherever you’d like to hang it. So pick out some fabrics and come join the fun!

June Classes and Events

Quilt Squad Have a group of ladies that is your Quilt Squad?  This fun wallhanging will help you represent them!  Try your skills at some advanced raw edge applique techniques with this fun and whimsical project.  This is a 2 session class.  With Sue Walters Saturday, June 3rd  from 10-2 and  Saturday, June 17th from 10-3:30

It's A Wrap Coasters and Trivets Use clothesline and fabrics to create your own unique design of coasters, trivets and placemats to make any table look extraordinary.  Using this method, you can also make handbags, totes and bowls.  Come and try this fun one out! With Kelly Davis Thursday, June 8th from 5-8pm

Yellow Brick Road This is the definitive project for a beginning quilter, using your favorite fabrics. The design is great for using up fabric, and works well with your choice of fat quarters. With an easy to piece pattern and the choice of adding a great solid border, this is one project every quilter will want to try. Most quilters will tell a beginner to start with this pattern. It is interesting to piece together and it can help advance skills for future projects. There are many ways to make this design your own: from fabric and color choices, to adding a thicker or thinner border, and choosing a great binding design. Experiment with textures and styles with this great pattern! With Lesa Brown Saturday, June 10 from 9-2

Sew In Days 
Every Tuesday and Friday from 10-5, Hoppin Bobbin hosts a Sew in Day.  Bring a project and all of your supplies and have a great day sewing with friends.  Bring a covered dish to share.  If you are planning on staying the day, please fill the parking spots in the rear of the building first.  This enables new customers to find parking in the front of the building.
