We kept our snowman theme this year, "Sled Row"and our snowman is "On the Go!" with his sled. Kits are available and of course your Free Pattern when you stop by to visit us! Many Trips Around the World Saturday September 9th and 23rd from 9-3 with Sue Walters This is a true Bargello, not just one trip around the world. Many Extended Trips will make several sections come together in this fabulous quilt. So much fun and a bit of a challenge but with a little organization, this can be done easily using two color families to make this show stopper. If color is a little scary, we'll help you! You can make squares or rectangles - it's all up to you and your desire as to what you want to do with your quilt. Take the time to do prep work so that class goes easily. With both classes and your prep done, you should be close or finished by the end of class two! |

The American Sewing Guild and Hoppin Bobbin are holding a workshop to make duffel bags for children entering Foster Care because they need "out of home" placement.

Haunting Hoofbeats Saturday, September 30th from 9-3 with Sue Walters This spooky wall hanging is Machine Applique Plus! We will be experimenting with decorative stitches, variegated threads and working through all the layers of your quilt while stitching down the scary elements of this beauty. With some 3D applications, thread painting, possible hand stitching, and your imagination, this one will be done in a snap!!! |

Turning Twenty Again Are you looking for a fun and scrappy quilt that is also quick and will continue to build on your quilting skill? This class is for you. Join us as we make this fun quilt using various size blocks, that when joined together, makes a finished 18” block. Each block has a focal block that is 8” so you can make it scrappy or you can use that fabric you've been holding on for the right quilt to come along. This is a fat quarter friendly quilt that is super fun and simple using a variety of fabrics ranging from light to dark. This is a great pattern for those batiks you have been wanting to use. Bargello Tree Skirt.
What a fabulous skirt for any tree! Kelly will teach this easy method to accomplish this skirt. Class includes pattern. Kits available for purchase with pre-cut strips. Kit will make TWO tree skirts. Sew In Days
Every Tuesday and Friday from 10-5, Hoppin Bobbin hosts a Sew in Day. Bring a project and all of your supplies and have a great day sewing with friends. Bring a covered dish to share. If you are planning on staying the day, please fill the parking spots in the rear of the building first. This enables new customers to find parking in the front of the building.
Quilting for Christmas
Just a reminder that our quilting cutoff date for Quilts to be returned for Christmas is November 1st. So, get those quilts done so you have plenty of time to do that dreaded binding!
Save the Dates!!- March 2nd-11th, 2018 - Quilts Around the Bay Shop Hop is already in the planning stages. Our theme for 2018 is "Stars Over the Bay".

Hoppin Bobbin is presently looking for a part time Team Member to join our team. If you are interested, please contact Kelly at info@hoppinbobbin.com. You must be able to be on your feet for long hours at a time and lift a minimum of 30lbs. Quilting experience, basic math skills and a love of fabric necessary.
