Hoppin Bobbin Newsletter / Closing Announcement

Dear Friends of Hoppin Bobbin,

After careful thought and consideration, I have made the decision to close the Brick and Mortar store of Hoppin Bobbin.  While it is bittersweet, I feel this is the right thing for me to do.   I want to thank all of my loyal customers and staff members who have supported me in this endeavor for the past 9 years, it honestly has been quite the ride! No matter what situation I faced, I always knew that I had friends that I could lean on - from a car driving through the front door, moving to a new location, from celebrations, to the tears shed when we lost a loved one or a fellow quilter. You have all been there for me. I will never be able to thank you enough for all of the love that I have felt over the last 9 years.  However, it is time for me to spend more time with my family and pursue some personal goals.

While I am closing the shop, I will not be leaving the industry. I will continue to offer Longarm Quilting Services out of the shop through it’s closing and thereafter in my new Quilting Studio, at home. (I can't tell you how much I am looking forward to my new commute to work everyday! )  I am planning to focus more on Quilting, Writing Patterns, Teaching, running the website and Vending at Quilt Shows. I hope you will continue to allow me the pleasure of quilting your quilts and will look for me at your local shows or even some that are not so local. 

At this time, the plans are to close the shop on September 28th. All previously scheduled classes will continue through that point. Our closing sale will start Tuesday, July 2nd.  Pretty much, everything must go from fabrics and patterns to furnishings, samples and Décor.  So, come in while the selection is at it's best!
